How to sell?

Offering a piece for sale on ceramicscollector.com allows you to benefit from an expert appraisal made by our network of specialists in ceramics, and from an international presentation of your piece to ceramics amateurs and collectors.

1. Membership

The seller must become a Ceramics Collector member. The subscription is free and without commitment or obligation. The procedure is very easy and rapid. You are guaranteed the highest security concerning your personal information which will never be disclosed.

2. Selling procedure

In the "members" section, click on "Offer a piece for sale" to access the following displays :

1st display : description of the piece

Please fill in the required information, with the most complete details. In the "condition" field, you must mention any crack, nick, lack of enamel, break, repair, and specify their importance and their position on the piece.

You can directly enclose with your description up to 6 scanned photographs or send them by post to Ceramics Collector, 9 rue de Gimbrett, F-67200 Strasbourg, France. Please be aware that photographs of high quality are essential to the presentation of the pieces on-line!

Click on "OK" to access the following display.

2nd display : seller's details

Please fill in your details. Consult and validate the general terms of sale and click on "OK"

Your request will be sent to Ceramics Collector who will decide if the piece may be offered for sale on-line. Ceramics Collector will contact you to suggest a first estimation of your piece.

3. Expert appraisal and selling charges

These charges represent 20% of the selling price of the piece.

4. Payment

The transaction is totally secure for the seller. Ceramics Collector intervenes as an intermediary, and receives the payment from the buyer before the seller ships the piece.

The selling procedure is divided into four stages :

  1. Ceramics Collector receives the payment from the buyer
  2. the seller sends the piece to the buyer
  3. the buyer receives the piece
  4. Ceramics Collector pays the seller

5. Transport

The piece remains with the seller until the sale has been concluded. The transport charges are at the buyer's expense.

As soon as the sale is concluded, we will contact you by e-mail to send the piece.

7. Follow-up of the transaction

You can follow up your selling transactions in the "members" area, in the "Follow-up of my sales" section. The following expressions are used :

  • For sale : piece for sale on ceramicscollector.com
  • Reserved : piece reserved by a member
  • Purchase being processed: a member has bought the piece, the payment is being processed
  • Delivery underway : Ceramics Collector has received the buyer's payment, and has asked you to ship the piece
  • Received : the buyer has received the piece
