How to sell?
Offering a piece for sale on ceramicscollector.com allows you
to benefit from an expert appraisal made by our network of specialists
in ceramics, and from an international presentation of your piece
to ceramics amateurs and collectors.
1. Membership
The seller must become a Ceramics Collector member. The subscription
is free and without commitment or obligation. The procedure is
very easy and rapid. You are guaranteed the highest security concerning
your personal information which will never be disclosed.
2. Selling procedure
In the "members" section, click on "Offer a piece
for sale" to access the following displays :
1st display : description of the piece
Please fill in the required information, with the most complete
details. In the "condition" field, you must mention
any crack, nick, lack of enamel, break, repair, and specify their
importance and their position on the piece.
You can directly enclose with your description up to 6 scanned
photographs or send them by post to Ceramics Collector, 9 rue
de Gimbrett, F-67200 Strasbourg, France. Please be aware that
photographs of high quality are essential to the presentation
of the pieces on-line!
Click on "OK" to access the following display.
2nd display : seller's details
Please fill in your details. Consult and validate the general
terms of sale and click on "OK"
Your request will be sent to Ceramics Collector who will decide
if the piece may be offered for sale on-line. Ceramics Collector
will contact you to suggest a first estimation of your piece.
3. Expert appraisal and selling charges
These charges represent 20% of the selling price of the piece.
4. Payment
The transaction is totally secure for the seller. Ceramics Collector
intervenes as an intermediary, and receives the payment from the
buyer before the seller ships the piece.
The selling procedure is divided into four stages :
- Ceramics Collector receives the payment from the buyer
- the seller sends the piece to the buyer
- the buyer receives the piece
- Ceramics Collector pays the seller
5. Transport
The piece remains with the seller until the sale has been concluded.
The transport charges are at the buyer's expense.
As soon as the sale is concluded, we will contact you by e-mail
to send the piece.
7. Follow-up of the transaction
You can follow up your selling transactions in the "members"
area, in the "Follow-up of my sales" section. The following
expressions are used :
- For sale : piece for sale on ceramicscollector.com
- Reserved : piece reserved by a member
- Purchase being processed: a member has bought the piece, the
payment is being processed
- Delivery underway : Ceramics Collector has received the buyer's
payment, and has asked you to ship the piece
- Received : the buyer has received the piece
